SUMMARY:HDF Spotlight: Hemodiafiltration for Kidney Failure: Results from an Individual Patient Data Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials
DESCRIPTION:Description: \nThe aim of this recent individual patient data meta-analysis is to present an overview of the existing evidence from randomised controlled trials comparing haemodiafiltration versus haemodialysis that were designed to assess all-cause mortality in patients with kidney failure. \nIn this webinar one of the author’s will explain the study design and the results as published in The Lancet. \nAgenda: \nClick here to view the April 16\, 2026 Webinar Agenda \nCEs Available: \nFresenius Medical Care North America is an approved provider of continuing education and is accredited by the California Board of Nursing. SUMMARY:Anticoagulation and Acid-Base Disorders in AKI Requiring CKRT
DESCRIPTION:  \nDescription: \nContinuous kidney replacement therapy (CKRT) is often used in the management of critically ill patients with acute kidney injury\, particularly those who are hemodynamically unstable. These patients often exhibit disorders in acid-base status. In this seminar\, experienced faculty will provide insight into patient-and-treatment-associated factors contributing to such disorders and potential measures that may help guide appropriate clinical management. Reducing therapy downtime requires effective anticoagulation\, which should be carefully managed to meet therapeutic goals and avoid exacerbation of underlying disorders or introducing new complications. Our expert panel will discuss key underpinnings of the management of patients receiving CKRT and common challenges related to anticoagulation and acid-base management. This interactive discussion will feature case presentations and provide you with an opportunity to ask questions regarding your own challenging scenarios related to anticoagulation and acid-based management in critically ill patients with AKI. \nAgenda: \nClick here to view the February 26\, 2026 Webinar Agenda \nCEs Available: \nFresenius Medical Care North America is an approved provider of continuing education and is accredited by the California Board of Nursing. Nurse practitioners\, registered nurses\, and allied health professionals may obtain up to 2.0 contact hours for attending this webinar. \n  \nRegister
