Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus remains to be the leading cause of end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) globally, with its prevalence continuing to rise. This e-Learning course explores the unique challenges of managing Type 2 Diabetes in this population, including altered insulin metabolism, the limitations of HbA1c as a glycemic marker, and the complexities of treatment planning. It also highlights the critical role of diabetes education and care coordination in improving outcomes for patients with ESKD, particularly those undergoing hemodialysis.
