Bridging the Gap: Tackling Inequity in Access to Personalized Home Dialysis in Europe

Welcome to the Webinar Series! Our medical education programs are delivered by experts in their fields and cover a variety of disease-state education topics related to dialysis, critical care and beyond. Bridging the Gap: Tackling Inequity in Access to Personalized Home Dialysis in Europe: Despite strong clinical, economic and quality-of-life evidence supporting the many benefits of home dialysis, significant inequities persist in access to personalized home-based dialysis therapies across Europe. This webinar will examine the structural, economic, and operational factors driving these disparities, including reimbursement variabilities, infrastructure models and patients pathways, technology adoption, and workforce capabilities. Through real-world examples and country perspectives, the discussion will highlight how innovation, various collaborations, and data-driven approaches can accelerate equitable, patient-centric, home dialysis solutions. Attendees will gain many insights into how nephrologists can partner with policymakers and providers to expand equitable access, support personalized care pathways, and contribute to offer more personalized home dialysis care perspectives to their patients across Europe. Speaker: Eric Goffin, MD, Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc, Belgium
