Users with an existing member account are required to reset your password when you log in for the first time after July 10, 2020. Please enter your username/email then select the “Lost your password” option and follow the directions on screen to reset your password.

Note that your new password should be at least eight characters and should include a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

Each AREP website requires a unique email address. If you see the “Email already exists” message during registration then you already have an account on this site or another AREP regional website (North America or Asia Pacific site accessed by clicking on the regional link at the bottom of the webpage). Please log in on the same AREP website where you created your account to view your course certificates or use a unique email address to register another account on the regional sites independently.

If you experience slower than normal course playback, try the following to increase the speed:

  • Close all other browsers, tabs, and applications.
  • Disconnect any open VPN connections.
  • Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to troubleshoot internet speeds.

Pop up blockers should be disabled for the Advanced Renal Education program in order to play courses. If you experience a course that won’t play, please check your pop up blocker and allow pop ups for the AREP site then try again.

You may not have access to your history when accessing your learner dashboard using Internet Explorer, which is no longer supported by Microsoft. Please log into the AREP site using one of the following browsers for the best experience:

Your new password should be at least ten (10) characters and should include a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. If the site won’t accept your new password when resetting your password, please confirm your new password follows these rules and try again.

Yes. To change your password login (click on the green button, top right of website) and go to your dashboard (renamed green button, top right of website once logged in) and click on your Profile. Follow the on-screen instructions to change your password.

Yes. Any courses under the tab “eLearning” can be directly accessed without registration: navigate to the eLearning tab on the home screen, choose your topic area, then click on “Start Non-Certificate Course” from the list of course topics.

Any courses under the tab “CME” can only be taken after registration and purchasing of the course. The certificates are then ready for download in the dashboard, after passing the test questions and completing the course evaluation.

From the home screen click the “My eLearning Center” button (green button, top right of website). Create a new account by clicking ‘Create Account’ or login to your existing account. Once logged in, go to dashboard by clicking on the green “dashboard” button at the top right of the website.

From your dashboard page you can access all Certificate courses under the ‘All Courses’ tab. Click on any course. You will be taken to a course description page. Click ‘Start Course’ and your course will launch.

Note: All Certificate courses must be taken from start to finish and you must pass the final assessment with 80% correct responses. Once the course is completed, you can close your course window by clicking on the ‘Exit’ link on the course window, and return to your dashboard where you will find your certificate under the ‘Completed’ tab. Certificates can then be printed directly from your dashboard.

Simply log into the system and go to your “dashboard”. Near the top, you will see a tab that says “In Progress”. Click this tab. Here you will see all the courses that you have started but not completed. To resume where you left off, click the course name. You will be directed to a course description page. Click, ‘Start Course’ and you can continue the course from where you left off.

Your certificate will remain available in your dashboard as long as you have the account.

The validity of the ECMEC®s however expires two years after the completion of the respective eLearning course.

In “My Dashboard“, click on the “completed” tab, look for the course you completed. There is a Pdf icon to the right of the course title. You may download and print your certificate by clicking the icon.

Simply log into the system and go to your “dashboard”. At the top you will see a tab that says “In Progress”. Click this tab; there you will see all the courses that you have not completed. To resume where you left off, click the course name and start the course from the course description page. Your course should open up in a new tab or window. Then, navigate directly to the final quiz by clicking on it from the course menu on the left side of the course.

Yes. However, we recommend that you review the course first. Restart the course from the course description page and click “Start Course”. Using the left side course Menu to navigate, review the sections of the course you need to review before attempting the test a second time.

Courses under the tab “eLearning” are free of charge. The Advanced Renal Education Program’s eLearning courses are brought to you by Fresenius Medical Care-Medical Information and Communication team for the purposes of allowing renal professionals to access free online educational materials and resources.

Courses under the tab “CME” come with a fee of 15€ per course. These courses all have accreditation from the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).The courses are provided by the Fresenius Medical Care – Clinical and Therapeutic Governance Team EMEA.

In order to pass the test for eLearning courses, you must receive a score of 80% or higher.

New eLearning courses are released periodically, but not on a set schedule. Please check the website as we will post a notice about a new course on the home page banner. You would also receive an email announcement if you are registered on our website as an elearning participant.

The provider is the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes  -European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (UEMS- EACCME®). Credits on the certificates are European CME Credits (ECMEC®). ECMEC®s are recognized in various countries in Europe. They can also be converted to American Medical Association (AMA) PRA Category 1 Credits™ by contacting the AMA.

You will find available CME courses by clicking on the CME tab on the navigation bar.

If you are not logged in, click “Login For CME Course” and Log in with Username or Email & Password. Once logged in, click “Purchase CME Course” for the desired CME course. This will take you to the checkout page to complete the purchase and payment for the CME course. Once the purchase is complete, click “Start CME Course”.

Upon successful completion of the CME course(s), you may retrieve your CME certificate(s) via your Dashboard.

In case you need to retake the test, you may do so by clicking on “Retake quiz” on the last page of the quiz which shows your scoring as well. Here you may also view the quiz to understand better where you may have picked the incorrect answer. After passing the test with 80% scoring or higher, you may collect your CME certificate from your Dashboard.
